With Epic, I wanted to create an image that feels like a memory from another world ancient, ceremonial, and strangely intimate. The figure stands still, yet there’s movement beneath the surface. Strength, yes but also silence. Dignity. A kind of spiritual presence that doesn’t shout but lingers.The adornments aren’t decoration they’re protection, history, and identity all at once. I see this figure as someone who has seen things we’ve forgotten, who carries stories without speaking them.The title Epic isn’t about scale it’s about depth. The kind of depth that lives in people who’ve survived, who carry their past like invisible armor. This work is a tribute to that quiet, powerful kind of epic the one that lives inside us.
